That's Conditioning Talking.

A comment on my recent post claimed "You may escape physically but never mentally" - which perfectly captures the very mental conditioning I was talking about.
𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑓 𝑖𝑡𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑓 𝑖𝑠 𝑎 𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑝.

A well known example:
Someone who desperately wants to lose weight isn't successful 𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑙 they see themselves as deserving of a healthy body.

That's why the overwhelming number of people who lose weight quickly regain it all and more. The physical change happened, but the mental conditioning remained intact.

𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 - instead, seeing themselves as worthy of health is what creates lasting transformation. The mental escape isn't just possible - it's essential for permanent change.

💪🏾 Bob Marley put this into his Redemption Song:
"𝘌𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺...
𝘕𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘴."

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡:
That comment is arguing for limitations while claiming wisdom. "You can never mentally escape" is just sophisticated self-imprisonment. It's the conditioning talking, convincing us that our mental cages are permanent.

👌🏾𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞:
The mental trap IS the most important one to break, and breaking it creates the most profound and lasting change.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠!

The mental prison can be unlocked and each person holds the key.

They always have.
